Backlash Beer Hunting For Its Own Place To Brew

Placeholder

Backlash Beer Co, founded five years ago in Holyoke, which now brews 1,000 barrels a year through two contracting arrangements, and collaborates on specialty brews with other breweries, wants its own brick-and-mortar operation. The company is looking for a site in Massachusetts that has enough room for a brewing space with a sit-down taproom, the Boston Business Journal reports.

The brewery is limited by the capacity of its partners, and thus wants its own facility. Backlash's most recent specialty brews include a barrel-aged imperial stout done in collaboration with Nightshift Brewing in Everett, and a smoked Belgian quadruple created in collaboration with Mystic Brewery.
