Cushman & Wakefield has new leadership in Baltimore after its managing principal decided to step down.

David Gillece announced he would no longer be managing principal of Cushman's Baltimore office, and on Tuesday the company named Peter Stanford as his replacement, the Baltimore Business Journal reports.

Gillece had been the regional head of Cassidy Turley's Baltimore office before its takeover by DTZ, where he assumed the same position. When DTZ merged with Cushman & Wakefield, Gillece again became the managing principal for the newly combined office. All told, he has been in charge of the Baltimore branch of one brokerage or another for 14 years.

Stanford has been with Cushman & Wakefield for 25 years, most recently leading Global Occupier Services teams and the Baltimore asset services division, which manages 17M SF in the region. According to BBJ, it is the largest commercial brokerage in Baltimore, with more than 140 employees now working under Stanford in its office at One E Pratt St. in Downtown Baltimore.

Gillece will continue unspecified work with clients, as well as an increased devotion to civic engagement.
