THE GENERATIONS MINGLE

You remember Ray Ritchey's "7 Predictions for '07" that we started the year with. In honor of the coming second half of the year, we're going to have a "Forecast Week" in June. We'd love to know your favorite forecasters, analysts, or subjects. Send us your suggestions.

Yes, we know Mike Hickok should not have been called Bill in a photo yesterday. We know him well, and our only excuse can be that ever since Hickok Cole's great Wild West party last year, we subconsciously keep thinking of him as Wild Bill Hickok.

Last night, they came in waves—300 real estate mavens, young and not so young, to the sprawling rooftop of Pillsbury Winthrop's DC office. And some may still be there, judging by how it was going strong an hour after the announced end. But that's what happens when you mix glorious weather, stunning views, and the beat of a younger crowd. (Although guests Jim Abdo and Douglas Jemal could teach 'em a few things about high energy.)

Most all of the Under 35 winners attended (official dispensation was granted to a couple who had critical need to attend the Landon/Georgetown Prep lacrosse playoff). We didn't realize there would be both an early shift and a later one, so apologies to those we missed in this picture early in the evening. Honorary event chairman Jair Lynch stands in open-neck shirt to left of middle.

Hostess with the Mostess Maureen Dwyer (Pillsbury's DC managing partner), second from left, with Vardell Realty's Mike Vardell (who developed the Pillsbury building at 24th and N in 1985 when he was a young gun working for Boston Properties), Reznick's Shelly McGonnigal, and Duball founder Marc Dubick (whose new Lionsgate luxury condo in Bethesda sold five units in just the last two weeks).

Deputy DC Mayor for Planning Neil Albert, left, came to support his office's Under 35 honoree Konrad Shlater, here with Holland & Knight's Chip Glasgow, Boston Properties Washington regional head Peter Johnston, and Pillsbury Winthrop's Wendy White.

West Lane & Schlager's Gannon Rich, Arent Fox's Rich Brand and Tommy Castiello, Cushman's Amelia Grana, Anacostia Waterfront's Calvin Gladney, Cushman's Lauren LeHew and Pete Marcin, and Arent Fox’s Mike Leahy. Tommy came after a long day of honing documents for client Washington Real Estate Investment Trust’s acquisition of three medical office buildings in Ashburn. (The slice of life info you’ve come to expect from Bisnow.)

No doubt closing his eyes to soak in the honor, Matthew Jemal, the youngest of the "10 to Watch" honorees, stands with Davis Construction's Patrick Cotter, dad Douglas Jemal, and Woodmark's Alex Green.

Akridge's Mary Margaret Hiller, Clark Construction's Sarosh Olpadwala and Jennifer Noah, and Wachovia's James Brennan. Sarosh reports that "the exterior skin envelope of the baseball stadium has commenced," which we don't understand but you readers surely will.

Former Redskin (and now real estate investor) Darryl Pounds, Hill staffer Meredith Liberty, Land America's Chris Naughten, Tishman Speyer's James Pinkerton, Millennium Consulting's Emily Cumberland, and Tishman's Evan Behr.

Pillsbury's Robert Weinstock, Cassidy & Pinkard's Jud Ryan, Pillsbury's Maureen Dwyer, Hill staffer Meridith Liberty, Tishman's Anthony Balestreri and Brian Berry. Maureen was allowed to violate our "no-two-pictures-in-one-issue" rule because she was our incredible host, and Meredith because, what the heck, she was Anthony's friend.
