Bisnow Breakfast & Schmooze: Forest City's Debby Ratner Salzberg. Thurs., June 12, BLT Steak. Special thanks to Arent Fox and Davis Construction! Sign up!

Despite last night's lightning and rain dashing our rooftop plans, more than 250 still packed into Pillsbury's party room (did you know law firms have those?) to honor the Bisnow 35 Under 35. We don't know what Obama or McCain may hold for our future, but we know the folks below will be a big boon to life in the Washington region for many decades to come.

The Young and Busy: We tried to gather all the 35 honorees for one picture, but need to invest in a wider angle lens.

Green Earth

The Menkiti Group's Bo Menkiti, MacFarlane Properties' Zuhairah Scott, Delucchi prez Christine Delucchi, Tower Companies' Marnie Abramson, Lowe Enterprises Joe Carrol, Sibdu.com COO Bob Woods, and Pillsbury's Elizabeth Rugaber. Bob tells us that Sibdu.com, a professional networking and site search tool targeted to commercial real estate folks, is due to debut the second or third week of this month.

Sibdu CEO Brett Rogers; managing partner at Pillsbury and party hostess extraordinaire Maureen Dwyer; Skanska's EVP of the DC/Baltimore office Chuck Brawley; and Clark Realty Capital's David Ritchey. Chuck says that Skanska (one of the top five largest construction firms in the US) is now ranked #1 in green building and though not yet huge in DC, they're in major expansion mode. The company also just won a $100M contract to renovate Springfield Mall, which begins construction in July. Maureen says Pillsbury was just awarded the zoning work for Poplar Point, the mammoth project set to transform the Anacostia waterfront.

LandAmerica's Michael Segal, PN Hoffman's Josh Dix, LandAm's David Nelson, Cassidy & Pinkard's Adrian Conforti, and FOX Architects' Andy Yeh. Andy and Adrian were both discussing their new digs: Adrian says Cassidy's new space at 2101 L Street delivers August 15th and Andy says they're doing the tally and FOX's place on 14th Street is set to be LEED Gold.

White Star Investment's Craig Bernstein, Transwestern's Joe Friedman, Skanska's Joe Hammerstrom and Arun Dotson, and Transwestern's Mat Adler. Joe and Mat tell us they're in the mood for celebrating; yesterday marked the seventh deal they've closed as a team so far this year.

Monday Properties' Andrew McGeorge, Monument's Amy Phillips, Vardell Realty's Michael Vardell, and Pillsbury's Scott Barat. Scott's working on the contracts for Monday Properties' 1812 N. Moore Street, which Andrew reminds us is set to begin demo this summer. Michael's looking forward to some R&R in the Grand Canyon, although hiking through gorges doesn't exactly sound like rest to us.

CIM Group's Matt Wexler, Mosaic Urban Partners' Nia Francis, Akridge's Jamie Bratt; and Pillsbury's Pete Freeman and Vernon Thompson. Pete's busy working on something he says has been a bit unusual for this market: a construction loan in downtown DC. Must be a sign of good things to come. He's looking forward to August in Maine where he'll be out of cell phone range and spending uninterrupted time with his wife and two kids.

WorkSpaces' Khalid Itum, Carlisle Floors' Janel Conforti, GGA's Tony Brannon, and Studley's Olivia Millar. We're getting excited: next week WorkSpaces delivers furniture to our new DuPont Circle office, and we'll invite you to come gawk at their amazing stuff.
