Big welcome to new sponsor BANNER ASSOCIATES, a full-service recruitment firm specializing in all Commercial Real Estate professionals. Their business model: No exclusives, no retainers, 100% no hassle money back guarantees.

Little stock market blips were not enough to derail the real estate locomotive last night as 175 principals rolled into Arent Fox’s Connecticut Avenue offices for our fall Bisnow Schmoozarama.  Big thanks to host Arent Fox, and great sponsors (and firms) Perkins & Will and Davis Construction.  And, as always, to strategic partners LandAmerica and Reznick Group.

Rusty Meadows of Perkins + Will, Lowe’s Eileen Circo, Studley’s Tom Fulcher, and Mancini Duffy’s Anik Jhaveri.  Rusty was lucky to be awake:  He’d just returned from his sixth trip to Dubai this year, where he’s overseeing six design projects, including an 80 story building.  Anik just showed early designs for a new Executive Conference Center to thrilled Fannie Mae execs who are converting the old Cineplex Odeon next door to them.

CBRE’s Art Santry, Rand’s Linda Rabbitt, and former CarrAmerica leader John Donovan.  Art was fresh from signing the IAM pension fund to a renewal of 60k SF at ING Clarion’s 1300 Connecticut.  As for John, now in his third year of retirement, he hunts foxes in Middleburg three days a week but performs his august duties as chairman of our advisory board by dusting off a tie every so often and giving us an excuse to party.

Monument co-founder Jeff Neal and Davis Construction’s Jim Davis.   It’s been called to our attention that our Halloween issue might have featured Jim as Tom Hanks.  We’re still thinking about Jeff Neal—suggestions, anyone?

Fraser Forbes’ Rich Samit, US General Contracting’s Larry Summers, CB’s John Germano and Ernie Jarvis, and Reznick Group’s David Kessler.

Abdo’s Eric Price and Gordon Buist, Duball’s Marc Dubick, and Jim Abdo.  You’ll be reading more in our pages next week on Jim.  As for Marc, his Lionsgate condo complex in Bethesda delivers in spring, shortly after which he commences Phase 1 of his Rockville Town Center project (a “W” Aloft hotel, 230 residential units, and 20k SF of retail).

MRP’s Bob Murphy, Holiday Fenoglio’s Steve Conley, and Randall Hagner’s Stephen Conley, Jr.

Boston Properties’ Ray Ritchey, CB’s Art Santy (hey, how’d we let you in a second picture!), FOX Architects’ Sabret Flocos, and ING Clarion’s Marc DeLuca.

Penzance’s Tom Ruder and Peter Greenwald, Potomac Capital Advisors’ Paul McNamara, and Davis’ Dennis Cotter.  Tom’s their new CFO, having just come from that role with both the Redskins and Dan Snyder’s investment group.  Not shown:  Dennis’ right foot cast, from slipping on loose cobblestone in Old Town on a recent jog (or at least that’s the story).

JM Zell’s Jeff Zell, Cassidy’s Phillip Thomas, Martinez & Johnson’s Jim Kane, CB’s Ernie Jarvis, and Lowe’s Scott Hammons. Since Phillip’s been so busy with Carr Properties’ Arlington Plaza, he’s earned a vacation in Jamaica later this month with his wife, sans kids.

Our fantastic hosts and friends from Arent Fox—thanks so much!
