Our Bisnow Tech publication (which goes to 25,000 tech execs) is partnering with Fortune Magazine and Greenberg Traurig to name the top "35 Under 35 Entrepreneurs" of the region. You real estate people know everybody: Send us your suggestions.

As the world descends into utter chaos, we believe we can be a force for good. The Bisnow team is in possession of a secret weapon that can instantaneously transform unruly situations into perfectly orderly and happy ones. The Secretary of the Treasury may soon be calling us for assistance in restoring civilization. Our magic device?  It is called a camera, and observe what it can do.

Here in picture #1 is what appears to be a fine group of upstanding young men, otherwise known as Brokers, whom we chanced upon last night at Brasserie Beck, obviously preparing for an Eagle Scout ceremony or perhaps a collective PBS viewing of Jane Austen. From left, Transwestern’s Albert Missirlian, Cushman’s Dan McGivney, Landmarc Property Group’s Marc Schlesinger, Goldstar Group’s Michael Brodsky, Lehman Brothers’ Dave Ridini, Goldstar Group’s Michael Hillman, Cassidy’s Drew Flood, Transwestern’s Bruce "Springsteen" Mendelson, and Cushman’s Niel Beggy.

Now take the camera away, and those no longer under its influence revert to their primal form. In other words, we believe we should be immediately deputized by the Federal Reserve Board to carry cameras into every trading floor in America.

Here is another example. We assumed these were Temperance Union civic leaders we found at the Tysons Ruth’s Chris steakhouse last week, probably petitioning for stronger Sunday closing laws. In fact, they identified themselves to us as several of 200 brokers joining the Transwestern Investment Company for its annual NCAA Bracket Challenge kick-off party. (We assume that the AA stands for “anti-alcohol.”) Above, Transwestern’s Josh Masi and David Popp flank TIC East Coast acquisition heads and event hosts Ross Cowan and Dan Deuter. Ross and Dan were in from the Chicago-based HQ to promote their six TIC properties in the area – like the almost-finished Randolph Square in Shirlington and the under-renovation Falls Church Corporate Center on Arlington Blvd.

Here is another secret weapon: placing women on the scene to impose order. We caught the Cresa Crew polishing off 12 oz. filets and here clearly preparing for a toothpaste commercial: Aaron Berkey, David Rapoport, Brooke Studdert, Deniz Yener, Jessica Murphy, and Dennis Tapiero

And speaking of women with influence, we popped in on Perkins + Will principal Tama Duffy Day to congratulate her in person for being one of HealthCare Design magazine’s Top 20 Making a Difference. In just a couple years, she’s built the healthcare team from one to 20, and is currently involved in design work to renovate the Carl Vogel Center (a non-profit AIDS clinic in DC) and Children’s Hospital.
