LAST NIGHT'S
FUN!

We're helping our sponsors get product info out to prospective tenants by directing everyone to our Directory of Top Office Space!  We'll promote this heavily in our law, tech, and trade association e-letters, since those groups keep this town in business!

No rest for us publishers. Our good friends at Transwestern scraped the bottom of their barrel last night for an emcee and your humble publisher helped them give out their top producer awards. Great party—lots of eating, drinking, laughing—and VERY impressive results. But how many times do we have to say, when you go out clubbing (it was held at the new Park at 14th), lose the ties!

Transwestern's Mid-Atlantic head Tom Nordlinger and PR guru Christine Masney are sandwiched between brokers Ken Marks, who took first place in the Bethesda Leasing category, and Gerry Trainor, who took first place in Investment Services, as well as being named Overall Top Producing Agent in the Mid-Atlantic. Gerry represented top clients like AEW, Cambridge, JP Morgan, and JOSS Realty Partners.  Ken started at Carey Winston in 1970, meaning he's been at this business 38 years, in other words he's almost at the mid-point of his expected career.

Transwestern ace retail advisers Alex Walker, Ann McLean (with Rising Star Award) & Bill Miller (#3 in DC leasing).

BOT BASH!

At the big Board of Trade "mid-Winter dinner" last night at the Washington Hilton, Strelmark's Hilary Bruggen Fordwich is the rose among many thorns. She got two tables and invited many of her clients and friends, among them:  GVA Advantis' Tim Hague, HBW Construction's Pat Foley, Smith Pachter's Steve Dale, Bognet Construction's Jeff Kaiser, Smith Pachter's Mark Hanson (way in the back), FOX Architects' Mark Strandquist, and Winmar Constrution's Edwin Villegas.  Mark's just back from two weeks accompanying wife Sabine to her Tire Association conference on the Big Island; he used his old Ocean City skills to surf off Kona.  Hilary's just back from doing biz dev coaching for client Northrop Grumman in Heidelberg and London. She says she's never been so glad to be in slow Beltway traffic after being driven at 100 mph on the autobahn.

GGA Architects founder Lewis Goetz, and Cassidy & Pinkard co-founder Bob Pinkard flank Aronson's Juan Jaysingh.  Juan does biz dev now but used to play #1 on the tennis teams at AU and Georgetown Prep.  If you're up to it, challenge him to a match at jj@aronsoncompany.com.  (He's tired of losing to Elliott.)

City Councilman Jack Evans and Washington Post CEO Bo Jones.  We here at Bisnow made another offer to buy the Post Company, but were again turned down.  How long can they hold out??

Although former "Voice of the Senators" Charlie Brotman and Comcast SportsNet's Andy Ockershausen are old enough to be Pillsbury Managing Partner Maureen Dwyer's great-grandfathers, they had a lot of energy last night.
