Bisnow Breakfast & Schmooze: Forest City's Debby Ratner Salzberg. Thurs., June 12, BLT Steak. Special thanks to Arent Fox and Davis Construction! Sign up!

Yesterday's muggy temps in the 80's didn't stop 1500 commercial real estate guys and gals from competing in the 19th Annual Real Estate Games at American University. 71 teams pitched in and raised $416k for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Quadrangle's Sal Sahey was a good sport and even gave us his real name after we caught him riding a tricycle during the obstacle course event.

Exotic Stones

Studley's Jason Bart, Aisha Malik, Diana Sechrist, Tim Mazzucca, and Olivia Millar.  We snapped this before they competed in the Allsteel chair relay race, in which they placed second. The JDRF games were founded by Studley's Adam Singer in 1990 and Adam still serves on the JDRF national board.

Carr Properties' Carmen Jones, Nicole Coates, and Matt Maccaroni, and Jones Lang's Matt Scholtes worked up an appetite and treat themselves to some much needed sustenance.

Boston Properties sent forth their best tennis fiends: Jon Kaylor, Frank Hyre, and Pete Otteni. Pete, who works on BP's South of Market project in Reston, tells us they recently signed leases with Anthropologie, J Crew, National Jean, Papersource, and several other retailers for the space that's now 95% leased or under LOI.  As for the office space, it's 85% leased with major tenants now in occupancy in all three buildings (Rolls Royce, Serco, NII Holdings, and ComScore). See, if we're going to write off our gasoline to this event, we have to get some facts.

Clark Construction's Dan Miller, Lincoln Lawrence, Kyle Blodgett, Terry Stahlman, Steve Strickland, Joe Jarboe, Jamie Hart, Gina Myers. Clark finished in first place for the overall JDRF competition.

Team Forrester Construction before their volleyball match (you might have caught it on ESPN): Danielle Tapocik, Scott Blanda, Matt Sick, Craig Phillips, Casey Mowery, Erica Poore, Rosanna Haddad, Mara Antonio, Seth Glinski, Kim Etezadi, Jacqueline Zens, and Paul Romanosky.

The architecture and design marketing people took matters into their own hands and created a team of their own: Architecture Inc’s Renee Adams, Metropolitan Delivery Corp’s Jeff Wingrove, Kandice Pelletier (a celebrity: she was in the Amazing Race season 10 and the Amazing Race All-stars show!), Dominion Construction’s Boyd Long and Joe Weisen, Skanska’s Brennan McReynolds, Syska Hennessy’s Rachel Higgins, HSMM’s Michelle Heim, Dietze Construction’s Megan Murphy and Lucy Diaz, Architecture Inc’s Katherine Drews, HNTB’s Carrie Cooke, WFT Engineers’ Melissa Allen, Kimball Office’s Christian Gillette, Himes Associates’ Erin Figueroa, Applied Risk Management’s Amy Talton, and Pritchard Industries’ Nancy Payne.

Davis tennis team's Chanel Levy, Lisa Viancourt, and Tracey Hensel were very charitable and allowed ringer Elliott Bisnow to join. Fortunately, he never got on the court and failed to drag them down.

Studley's Tom Fulcher and Akridge's Katie Burton were on the scene handing out Gatorade and promoting GWCAR's June 19th DC bus tour. Katie's chairing the event and tells us this year's set a record with registrants: they expect a crowd of more than 400.
