Sponsor Update:  ONCORE Construction has been awarded two new projects: the Wyndham Hotel at National Harbor and classroom expansion at the St. Albans school. Congrats!

We had to take a breather—and we mean that literally.  Get those tuxes aired out from the cigar smoke so wives would let us back in the house.  But now a recap of the Thursday night fun (that raised $3M for a great cause, Fight for Children)

“Hands of Steel” Roberto Duran with Vornado’s Paul Souter, Studley’s Tom Fulcher, and Vornado’s Brendan Owen.  (We thought about identifying which one Duran is, but you’ll just have to guess.)

Fight Night has been going on so long now, this strange ritual is being handed down to unsuspecting new generations:  Randall Hagner’s Stephen Conley with dad Steve Conley of HFF (second and third from left, of course) joins Holiday Fenoglio’s Jim Meisel, Akridge’s Brian Connolly, First Potomac Realty’s Doug Donatelli, and HFF’s Dek Potts.

Fight Night founder Joe Robert with White Star Investment’s (yes, formerly Cushman’s) Craig Bernstein and Tower Companies’ Brian Abramson.

Peterson Companies’ Jeff Resetco, Clark’s Bill Magruder, Jim Kiniade, and Brian Apt, and Peterson Companies’ Peter Dunn.

Music legend Quincy Jones with our own Elliott and Stacey.  (Elliott’s pretty good at sneaking in those pictures, huh?)

Cassidy’s Jud Ryan, Clark’s David Ritchey, and Carr Properties’ Austen Holderness

Brookfield’s Paul Schulman, Cassidy’s James Cassidy, Douglas Development’s Norman Jemal, and Vornado’s Gary Cook.  (James, black tie, man!)

Real estate investor PG Gottfried, McFarlane’s Brad Dockser, and JLL’s Marc Bassin.

Event chair for the second year in a row, Chuck Kuhn of JK Moving is between Danaher Corp’s Phil Teigland and Shapes Salon and Day Spa prez Tony Lane.

MC Hammer and Stacey.

Then it was on to the Ritz to join the women and have the big after party.  Amazingly, they kept the entertainment a surprise:  Lenny Kravitz rocks out.
