(Part 2

Big shout-out to great new sponsor JM Zell. Check out its fantastic Carlyle Plaza One project in Alexandria. 350k SF of office space delivering in early 2010. Tell 'em we sent you!

Our Bisnow "35 Under 35" top entrepreneurs party was so full of celebrities one issue was not enough to hold all the excitement, so here's Part Deux. Thanks again to host Gene Riechers of Valhalla, and generous sponsors Deloitte, Greenberg Traurig, Cabot Consultants, and Comerica. Not to mention Ridgewells and MarcParc Valet for feeding and valeting us in grand style.

Is this the Mount Rushmore of past Virginia tech leaders? Four former NVTC chairs (Dan Bannister, John Backus, Kathy Clark, and Mike Daniels) with a couple guys we could have sworn must have been either an NVTC Chair (Dendy Young, blue shirt in middle) or Maryland Tech Council chair (Tien Wong, right), even if they haven't been technically (yet). We can't keep up with where they are now, but way back in the 90s they ran: Dyncorp, Draper Atlantic, Landmark Systems, Network Solutions, GTSI, and CyberRep.

Venturehouse founder Mark Ein, Metrocall and Virginia Baseball founder Bill Collins (now, eat your heart out, mainly a golfer), and NVTC President Bobbie Kilberg.

Hook & Ladder Brewing founder Matt Fleischer and friend Sarah Repking with Digital Management's Sunny Bajaj and Vic Bansal. "I make a point to only drink Hook & Ladder in public," says Matt. He brought some of his own beer to the party—enough to be passed around. Verdict: Great stuff!

FreightDesk CEO Rob Quartel, Hillcrest Labs founder Dan Simpkins, Appian CEO Matt Calkins and wife Liliana, former Discovery president (and now Fight for Children's CEO) Michela English, and Interfolio CEO Steve Goldenberg and wife Tara. Tara worked at MicroStrategy years ago when Steve interviewed for a job, but the two never crossed paths. It must be fate, because the two met later on and were married in October.

Ordia Solutions CEO Joe Ordia and friend Kamila Vavrikova. Joe came to our party despite being in training. He's running the Chicago Marathon in October.

Greenberg Traurig's Wayne Lee, Red Shift Ventures General Partner Mark Frantz, and athlete-entrepreneur Jim Speros. Back in the 90's, Jim seemed pretty cool 'cause of his Redskins' Super Bowl rings from his time there as a coach. Now he's got newer toys: he owns Velocity Five sports bar in Falls Church and is a partner in the new Presidential Golf Club at Dulles.

BrandClik's Lowell Perry, Cabot Consultants' Gary Roberts, NinjaTickets CEO Cliff Marks, and BrandClik's Joshua Konowe and Cabot's Craig Stevens.

Alarm.com's Mary Knebel, MailerMailer's Raj Khern and Comerica's April Young. April's a big deal and wonderful person in all seasons. Thanks to Comerica for lending her to our entrepreneur cause.
