The Great Entrepreneur Search! We'll be announcing our "35 Under 35" shortly. Thanks to great anchor sponsors Deloitte and Greenberg Traurig as well as Cabot Consultants and Comerica, and media partner Fortune Magazine; judges Phillip Merrick, Mary MacPherson, Mike Daniels, Mario Morino, Dendy Young, and Scott Frederick; and Valhalla's Gene Riechers for hosting winners, guests, and sponsors at his home June 10.

Hair Club for Men President Sy Sperling was famous for saying, “I’m not just the president, I’m also a client,” a slogan that could work just as well for LogiXML CEO Arman Eshraghi. Not that he needs help with his hairline. Instead, Arman uses his McLean-based company’s web-based business analysis tools to run his own company. And just like Sy, he’s happy to show off the results: “Every employee knows my password. With a few clicks they can see all the company’s financial information.”

The Iranian-born Arman started LogiXML in 2000 after years of working as a software engineer for others. His idea was to create user-friendly tools for businesses to analyze data more easily. “If you run a restaurant you can plug your data in and see everything from what items are selling the most to where you’re making most of your money,” says Arman, 41. He and his 80 employees have developed some 250 different graphs and charts, which can be displayed on a customized dashboard of key indicators (sales by employee, revenue by product category, etc.), in mashups with Google maps, and other ways.

That top graph shows the company’s quarterly revenue–shooting upward, you’ll note. Along with its analytical tools, the LogiXML service also sends alerts when it notices certain trends—a salesman in the field, for instance, could receive a text message letting him know when his performance is down. Arman tells us his team is constantly thinking of new tools to add (like RSS feeds of CNN tech news, and even an “anniversary watch” for forgetful spouses) with more than 100 available free on the website. Paid subscribers receive the whole library.

An avid tennis player, Arman has to settle for ping pong during work hours. And yes, that’s a foosball table in the background. His other joys are buying every piece of home technology that his wife will allow, and keeping up with his 15-year-old son. “It seems like every couple of months he wants to do something different with his life,” Arman says, “but as long as he’s happy I’m happy.”
