Bisnow Valentine party! Friday Feb. 13, from 5 to 9 PM at Lotus Lounge, 1420 K St. Half-priced drinks and free sushi buffet. Only $10, but you must register in advance.

Parties, movies, talks, openings, more parties. The Scene Bisnow has been busy. See what we've been up to the last couple of days.

Aniston On the Big Screen

We saw a preview of He's Just Not That Into You, opening today, and haven't had such a good time at the movies in months. It's as fun as we'd hoped the movie version Sex and the City would be (but wasn't), with an amazing ensemble cast: above, Ginnifer Goodwin (Big Love), Jennifer Aniston, and Jennifer Connelly (Oscar for A Beautiful Mind); also starring Ben Affleck, Scarlett Johansson, Drew Barrymore, Kevin Connolly (who plays E on Entourage). Might be awkward to go with a date, but definitely go with your best friend.

Bachelor Party

We were on hand last night to celebrate the birthday of the former star of ABC's The Bachelor, Navy doc Andy Baldwin, here with A Not So Capital Idea's Chandler Ramelli. How old is Andy? His secret's safe with us.

IT Pros’ Alexandra Simms, former Air Force officer Kevin Roots, and freelance writer Laura Carlson celebrated with the birthday boy at Hudson Restaurant & Lounge.

Bling in G'Town

Also last night, we went to Georgetown to celebrate the debut of its newest gem, Poppy, a metal jewelry store at 3235 P Street. Champagne flowed as guests mingled with owner Heidi Hess, who gave the store her nickname. Both Vera Meyer (left), a featured local designer, and Heidi are wearing their own handmade necklaces.

Guests previewed the spring collections in the intimate space, which displays unique jewelry by Heidi and other designers. Heidi works with silver, gold, found objects, and unfinished stones, and, with a degree in metal arts from the University of Washington, knows her minerals.

Luke's Wings

No, he's not trying to fly. DC native Fletcher Gill, a VP at Montview Realty, is telling us how he was inspired by a seriously wounded soldier, Luke, who was fighting for his life at Walter Reed. When a mother's love (and a few Redskins cheerleaders) boosted the soldier's morale, Fletcher founded Luke's Wings to help other wounded soldiers.

Co-founded with former Redskins Ambassador Sarah Wingfield, the non-profit provides funding for families around the world to visit  loved ones while they're hospitalized, letting wounded service members gain the strength that's only found through family (and Redskinettes). Started last March, Luke's Wings has flown 19 family members to the US; it's had 11 fundraisers, and the next is Friday, Feb 13, at Skye Lounge (see Where to be Scene, below).

Dell in DC

Celebrity sighting two weeks after the Inauguration! Michael Dell dazzled 735 techies at lunch Tuesday at the McLean Hilton; he's here with NVTC prez Bobbie Kilberg, who invited him.

Friday, Feb. 6, 9 PM-3 AM dance the night away at the Washington Ballet's Annual Jete Society Dance Party. Tickets are sold out for the party from 9 -12 at the Russian Embassy, and the official after-party from 12-3 at Georgetown's City Tavern Club, but maybe you can beg. Or wait until Monday and read about it here.

Wednesday, Feb. 11, 7:00 PM at the Corcoran. Meet Alexis Bittar as he discusses his high fashion jewelry (see ad to right for more details). 500 Seventh St; $25; $20 for members. More info

Friday, Feb. 13, 5:00 PM - 9:00PM, join the Bisnow team for a great Valentines party at Lotus Lounge, 1420 K St. Half priced drink specials and a free sushi buffet.  Only $10, but you must register in advance.

Friday, February 13, 9:00 PM. Go straight to the Skye Lounge after the Bisnow Valentine party at Lotus. The $10 admission supports Luke's Wings. 1919 Pennsylvania Ave.
