Party, Party, Party!

Tomorrow, DC will be the center of college football! The start of bowl season happens at RFK, at the first-ever EagleBank Bowl. Navy v. Wake Forest. Be there! Please see ad at right for details.

We’ve been so busy this holiday season, partying and supporting great causes.  Last night we did both when we attended Magic & Miracles at the Mansion on O Street to benefit the non-profit Ready, Willing and Working.  Ticket proceeds supported homeless and formerly incarcerated men in finding work, vocational training and support services. The honorary host committee included US Parole Commissioner Isaac Fulwood, Jr., Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton and WUSA9’s Bruce Johnson.

Santa’s Elves Party

The mistletoe and Christmas wreaths were hung last night as DC socialites Pamela Sorensen, Ashley Taylor, Hadley Gamble, Marybeth Coleman, and Julie Fields threw a Santa’s elves party at The Rookery. Here, host Pamela Sorensen, of Pamela’s Punch, with Ray Regan, at Bo Blair’s membership-only bar.  Ray is head coach of the University of Maryland’s girl’s crew team and founder and member of the First Chukker Polo team.

Brendan Sullivan, founder of Headfirst, enjoys one of the last Christmas parties of the season with Tricia Lilly.  Brendan participated in the1995 College World Series, leading Stanford University in saves during his sophomore season.

Last Minute Christmas Party

The night before, we went to the annual Last Minute Christmas Party, when many hosts ask their friends to bring toys and donations to benefit Kennedy’s Cord Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House while enjoying cocktails and the Christmas-inspired DJ at McFadden’s. Here, hosts Apex co-founder and COO Win Sheridan, RedPeg Marketing CEO Brad Nierenberg, AMA Construction’s Luis Alexandre, and Castle Management’s Dan Castle.   Along with real estate developer (and brains behind the party) Doug Dixon they gather their friends every year to have fun and raise money for a worthy cause.

DC United defender Mark Burch and Ximena Dias both enjoy taking a break – him during soccer’s off-season and her from studying.
