Night Nouveau!

Saturday night we went to Night Nouveau, a cocktail party at Georgetown's historic Evermay.

we1
Guests enjoyed the beautiful house and gardens, as they sampled whiskey, specialty cocktails, and food, and participated in a murder mystery theater they had to solve themselves. We snapped Pursoma's Shannon Vaughn and Wink Boutique's Paige Speyer.

we2
There was also a silent disco, as everyone received a wireless headset with music played by DJ Chuck Koch, who performs at Heist, where folks went for the after-party. Here, ESPN's Justin Bolman, NAIS' Emily Porter and Michael Hawes.

we3
All proceeds went to the S&R Foundation, supporting talented individuals in the arts and sciences; it was co-founded by Dr. Sachiko Kuno (right) here with COO Kate Goodall and U Street Parking's Leonard Howell.

Food!

we4
Saturday we went to MetroCooking DC at the Convention Center, part of a foodie weekend with TV star chefs, specialty food vendors, cooking demos, and cookbook authors. We snapped The Chew's Jason Roberts with ABC 7's Jummy Olabanji.

The Food Network's Extreme Chef Terry French is with Dana Wireman. There were two new features: a holiday bazaar and a Grand Tasting Pavilion with local restaurants' signature fare, including Del Campo, Cedar, Bourbon Steak, and Founding Farmers.

we6
Marcia Friedman, author of Meatballs and Matzah Balls: Recipes and Reflections from a Jewish and Italian Life is with The Recording Academy's Daryl Friedman. We also went to a workshop by Rocky Fino, author of Will Cook for Sex: A Guy's Guide to Cooking.

Juleanna at Heather's!

We went to Heather Podesta's new Kalorama townhouse Friday night to welcome her to her new digs. We also congratulated Juleanna Glover on her new job at Teneo; we snapped her with private equity firm TPG's Karen Brooks and WJLA Washington Business Report anchor Rebecca Cooper.

we8
Brownstein Hyatt policy director Juanita Duggan and owner of Georgetown's iconic Keith Lipert gallery, which sells designer jewelry and gifts. Fortunately, the home had not been furnished, as hundreds poured in, after first picking up a glass of wine from a waiter on the front lawn.

Everyman!

we9
Friday we went to opening night of Edge of the Universe Players 2's The Summoning of Everyman medieval play at Woolly Mammoth. It stars Beauty (Caroline Wolfson), Fellowship and Knowledge (Josh Sticklin), Messenger (Lynette Rathnam), Discretion (Logan Sutherland), God (Keith Irby) and Death (Jase Parker).
