Kevin Nealon!

We’re thrilled to host top political analysts this Thursday morning, less than 36 hours after the New Hampshire primary. Ann Compton has been ABC’s chief White House correspondent for years and Linda Douglass was President Obama’s spokesperson and chief congressional correspondent for CBS News before that. If you want to know what the experts think about the GOP race or how they match up with the President, this is the place to be. And of course, breakfast and great networking. Sign up now!

We joined friends who wanted to celebrate life and a milestone with laughter, seeing Kevin Nealon at The Improv.

We saw him at one of his four nights of sold-out shows. The long-time SNL cast member had us laughing non-stop about snoring, flying, driving, and relationships.

Congrats to Arlene and Bob Begelman (front center, and right) who gathered many old friends to celebrate 30 years of marriage.

Religion Thing!

Last night we went to the world premiere of The Religion Thing at Theatre J. Written by a local award-winning playwright, the show is about two DC couples who learn how careers, faith and their past affect their relationships. Congrats to artistic director Ari Roth, whose birthday is today. We snapped him at the lobby reception with marketing maven Michael Singer.

We learned afterward that Will Gartshore, who plays a born-again newlywed with a big past to hide, was sick, but we couldn’t tell and loved his performance. He’s with Hogan Lovells’ Jason Huntsman, HJW Foundation’s Matt Hollamby, and BofA’s Frank Caruso.

The show kicked off Theatre J’s month-long Locally Grown: Community Art from our Own Garden festival. The collection of talks, plays, and more features work exclusively from DC. Here, No Rules Theatre Company founder Joshua Morgan, whose company splits its time between H St and Winston-Salem, show costume designer Frank Labovitz, and lighting designers Cory Ryan Frank (who did the show) and Rob Denton.

Ari told us the company is a family, which made sense when we met director Joe Calarco, whose sister Rene wrote the play. He’s with long-time supporters Roz and Don Cohen.

New Pub!

Irish Whiskey Public House opened on Friday and we dashed in for a sneak preview. The traditional Irish pub with a cosmopolitan twist is near our Dupont HQ. Here, its owner Reese Gardner is with its designer Maggie O'Neill.

We heard there were free drinks, so of course Bisnow Media was well represented.

Magic!

Last night we escaped the snow to catch magician Josh Norris at Madhatter's Monday Night Magic. He's surrounded by FINRA's Joe Conley and DOJ's Jessica Agarwal, Sasha Appatova and Ben Wittwer.

The tricks usually happen in the dining room, but this time the mind reading and hand magic were during happy hour. Here FDA's Kate Armstrong and SEC's Chris Johnson.

We snapped Child's Play's John Lyden and the governments' Rich Biro and Paola Canales enjoying dinner.

Caitlin Byrnes and Casie Kiel contributed to this issue.
