Inaugural Fun
Begins!

On Wednesday, we kicked off Inauguration festivities by attending Martinis for the Mall at Teatro Goldoni, hosted by the Trust for the National Mall L’Enfant Society, the young professionals group that raises awareness and funds for the restoration of the National Mall. After a million people pack DC for the swearing-in of President-elect Obama, America’s front yard's really going to need restoration.

Caroline Cunningham, President of the Trust for the National Mall, and John Cecchi, real estate developer and Chairman of the L’Enfant Society, celebrating its official kick-off. He’d been interviewed about the Society earlier that evening on WJLA.

Kristina Dorville, from the Department of Homeland Security, detailed to the House Republicans, Angie Goff, WUSA9 traffic anchor, Donna Lee, of PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Laura Carlson, writer for Metromix. When Angie isn’t on-air, you can catch her “Oh My Goff” blog.

Cultural Cocktails!

Last night we joined the 1869 Society – the Corcoran Gallery's young professional's group – as it kicked off the year with its Cultural Cocktails series at the Embassy of Australia.  Megan Riddle, Greg O'Neil, founder of Greg's List, Chandler Ramelli, DC blogger and writer of A Not So Capitol Idea, and Taryn Fielder, Deputy General Counsel for the Presidential Inaugural Committee view the current Exhibit, Sublime Symmetries.
