Holiday Parties!

Big shout-out to great sponsor Urban Pace. Don?t miss the Vista Townhomes grand opening this weekend, located only two blocks from Courthouse Metro. See ad to the right for more details.

Last night we dashed from party to party. First up was the perfect opportunity to assemble a last minute holiday wish list for our self (or to make those important purchases for the family) -- a holiday shopping event hosted by DC Magazine at the Tommy Hilfiger Georgetown Store, complete with apple cider cocktails and mini chocolate parfaits to spur those shopping impulses.
Andrea Johnson of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and Melissa Nasrah of the Department of Treasury were glad they were able to take time out from their top-secret government work to do a little holiday shopping.
Kamila Kostalova and Vanessa Payne are no strangers to the fashion scene, as both are models for DC?s premiere agency, T.H.E.?

Tattoo Celebrates 1 Year!
Just down the street, Capitol File and Georgetown boutique Urban Chic helped Tattoo bar in the K Street corridor celebrate one-year of rockstar partying.? Partiers came from various events around town and kept the signature video dj in full swing until 2:00AM.? Here, Laura Rosenwinkel?and Kyle Veris, professional soccer player, who just got back from 6 months in Norway where Kyle played ?football.? Kyle was also a member of the LA Galaxy the previous year (and yes, ladies, thank him for bringing superstar David Beckham to Play Lounge last September).
We couldn?t help but get excited when we learned that marketing directors Cammie Trainer and Aaron Bennett from one of our favorite sandwich places, Potbelly, were in attendance.? They are based in Chicago, but spend a lot of time in DC for work, which they don?t seem to mind during the unbearable Chi-town winters.

Choral Arts Ball in 3 Days!
Petr Kolar Ambassador of the Czech Republic (which will assume the Presidency of the EU in January)?is?Chair of this year's Choral Arts Ball. He?threw a reception last night at his Embassy for Choral Arts' biggest supporters?who've been working tirelessly to make this Monday's gala the best ever (read how to score tix in Where to be Scene below).? On the right, long-time beloved artistic director of Choral Arts, Norman Scribner, whose son, renowned chef David Scribner of Surfside and Jettie's is offering to prepare?dinner for 8 in your home as one of the ball's Silent Auction items.

Saturday, December 13 (12:00-8:00 PM) and Sunday, December 14 (12:00-6:00 PM) enjoy shopping for clothing from designers such as Nicole Miller and BCBG.? ?At Sin PR?s Designer Sample Sale, clothes will be available for up to 70-90% off at their offices at 1624 Wisconsin Ave, NW Suite 2.? Not a cause, just a great deal. Sunday, December 14 (12:00-5:00 PM) A Shopping Event that?s also a great cause:? Shoppers and their furry friends are invited to Bloomingdales Chevy Chase.? Pets will be pampered with spa treatments and Santa is on-site for canine holiday photos.? While pups are enjoying treats from Barkely Square Gourmet Bakery & Boutique, their owners will be able to indulge in treats from Hello, Cupcake.? All proceeds benefit the Washington Humane Society. Sunday, December 14 (9:00 PM -2:00 AM) Join the Zinzi brothers (owners of Rumors bar in Midtown) for their annual Zinzi Christmas Party at the Washington Grand Hyatt in Penn Quarter at 10th and H.? Tickets are $100 online (or can be purchased at Rumors at 19th and M and Modern Liquors at 9th and M) and $150 at the door.? All proceeds go to St. Ann?s Infant & Maternity Home and Children?s National Medical Center. Monday, December 15 - In DC there is black tie and then there is BLACK TIE!? Between last weekend's Kennedy Center Honors and January's Inaugural Balls, THE most glamorous event of the holiday season is the Choral Arts Ball, also held at the Kennedy Center.? Almost sold out, but a few tix still remain starting at $600 for the festive Christmas concert at 7:00 followed by dinner and dancing until midnight.? or call Emily Riffle 202-244-3669 ext 15.
