Calendar Girls!

Register early for the Tigerlily Foundation's 2nd Annual Pink Boa 5K Run/Walk, on Sunday, September 14 at Fairfax Corner. Tigerlily Foundation represents and supports thousands of young women nationwide, who may have been or may be touched by breast cancer. Find out more here.

Last night we went to the Howard Theatre for the 'Skins Cheerleaders annual calendar release party.

Fans got their '13-'14 calendar signed and mingled with the 36 squad members. We snapped Madison S., Christa A., and Adrienne W.

Cheerleaders Monique and Ashley A. signed calendars at the theatre entrance. The First Ladies of Football Calendar release party is the only event where fans and corporate partners can spend time with the entire squad.

The squad performed a routine and premiered Beauties on the Beach, a 'Skins TV show aired on Comcast. We snapped supporters Takahiro Hirano, Tatsuya Sassa, and Chris Cloutir.

Cocktails with the Nats!

Last night we also went to Cocktails with the Nationals at Teddy & the Bully Bar. We snapped Nats GM Mike Rizzo and Nats Radio Play-by-Play Broadcaster Charlie Slowes with his wife Tina. Proceeds went to their Youth Baseball Academy and other Dream Foundation community projects.

Congrats to the team on yesterday's 9-7 win over the Pirates, aided by pitcher Ian Krol. He's with NASA's Lisa Ziehmann and plastic surgeon Ron Pearlman.

Guests enjoyed small plates, cocktails, and a silent auction with rare Nats memorabilia and exciting experiences. Here, Nats' Heather McKeon, Bridget Gannon, Caroline Myers, and Emily Tatum.

Smithsonian at 8!

Last night we also went to the Smithsonian at 8 at its S. Dillon Ripley Center, kicking off a 21-plus after-hours event series, a unique mix of culture, art, history, and science, with special access to Smithsonian exhibits and experts. We snapped LIRS' Oliver Subasinghe with contractors Carrie McAvoy, Jonathan Lindsley, and Emily Dahl.

Yuri's Night at the Smithsonian marks the 52nd anniversary of Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin as the first human to orbit the earth, and the 44th anniversary of the first moon landing. Here, World Bank's Alex Feshenko, Richard Carvalho, RT News Channel's Gayane Chichakyan, and Alexandria Capital's Yuli Yeliseyev.

Guests could become a citizen scientist with the Science Cheerleaders, collect microbe samples for the International Space Station, or listen to music spun by OneLoveMassive. VIP ticket-holders sampled Cuban dishes that the Kennedy Space Center prepares for astronauts on launch days. Here, teacher Savanah Perry, Shaw Project Services Group's Bryan Wilkes, IFWE's Gabrielle Jackson, and lawyer Martha Glover.

Erica Moody and Alfredo Flores contributed to this issue.
