We were on hand Thursday when Academy Award winner Benicio del Toro answered questions at E Street Cinema following a premiere of his movie Che, directed by Steven Soderbergh. The four-hour epic about Argentine revolutionary Che Guevara can be seen in its entirety through Thursday; then you'll have to see it as two separate features, The Argentine and Guerilla.

We snapped this of Benicio, who got Best Actor at Cannes for starring as Che, and is also known for The Usual Suspects and Traffic. Co-producer with Laura Bickford, he says he barely had time to sleep while filming because they shot 5 to 6 scenes a day.

Branson in DC

Virgin Atlantic mogul Richard Branson joined the inaugural festivities, here at Bob Johnson's party at Posh with Michael Hines of TTR Sotheby's International Realty.

Saturday Night at The Rookery

We checked out Jennie Kim's birthday celebration featuring DC band Sick Feed. Here the State Department FSO (center) is with Glaceau's Lauren Pomponio, and Greater Washington Sports Alliance's Keri Ann Meslar.

Movie Party

Also on Saturday, we went to Gin and Tonic Tavern, which screened the movie I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, based on the book by New York Times bestselling author Tucker Max. Here he's surrounded by PwC's Ashley Alverson, NIH's Amber Knott, med student Samantha Vaccaro, and Heritage's Erica Suares.

Cheering for Miss America

Also this weekend, we were on hand as PR guru Andrea Rodgers (right) hosted a Miss America viewing party at Tattoo Bar for Kate Marie Grinold, who competed as Miss DC. Congratulate her: She placed top eight in the competition! Andrea's here with society blogger Pam Sorensen and CBRE's Wright Sigmund.

Anne Hathaway's Hair

After Friday's The Scene came out, we learned that Anne's hair in our picture had been done by celebrity hair stylist Ted Gibson, who's just opened a new salon in Chevy Chase. Here he is with Fresh Prince of Bel Air's Tatiana Ali, whose hair Ted also coiffed.

We visited the new location of Hela, a top medical spa that teamed with Ted Gibson to create a flagship location at The Collection above Jimmy Choo and between Gucci and Ralph Lauren. Here European celebrity hairstylist Neven adds a bit of flavor to a great color; he's headed to New York in February for Fashion Week. Our reporter got a fantastic facial from Leslie Dolchin, but we decided not to show you her face covered in mud.
