Chris Scotton's Book!

Yesterday we went to a packed Politics & Prose to listen to local tech entrepreneur Chris Scotton speak about his new book, The Secret Wisdom of the Earth, published last week. Chris, whose day job is running ClearEdge3D, had an astonishing 100,000 first printing for his first novel. It's gotten rave reviews, including by John Grisham, who wrote a glowing review on Facebook.

We snapped Chris signing books with his family behind him: EverFi vice chair Gene Riechers, his wife and Chris' sister M'Liz, Chris' wife Janice Scotton and their sons Michael and Connor, the Riechers kids Meg, Will, and Katy, and Chris' dad Dave Scotton.

We snapped GEICO's Gecko with Mary Washington Hospital's Tecia Epps and GEICO's Tamra Snellings.

This year the focus expanded to mental health with a Changing Minds pavilion with information. Free health check-ups were offered, including kidney, hearing, vision, breast and prostate.
