Night Nouveau & Taste of DC!

Cardinal Bank offers service that's second to none and sophisticated products that allow you to thrive. Click here.

We went to S&R Foundation's Night Nouveau at Halcyon House.

Guests enjoyed quirky, unique décor that drew inspiration from the masters of Surrealism, including Salvador Dali's melting clocks painting, a maze, mimes, and walking trees. We snapped Dolci Gelati's Anastasia Dellaccio, Ladies America's Lindsey Mask, Cast of Thousands' Lil Christmas, and Washington Life's Catherine Carlstedt.

There was also a VIP Room with Moet & Chandon all evening and an after party at Malmaison. Here, Deloitte's Angela Welle, Kennedy Center's Nicole Kidston, and Newseum's Ryan Merkel.

S&R Foundation co-founder Dr. Sachiko Kuno, SAIC's Mike Hughes, and Vox's Melissa Bell.

Peruvian Brothers, along with Sushiko, Daikaya, Georgetown Cupcakes, and Dolci Gelati, provided delish treats. Here, its co-founder Giuseppe Lanzone is bookended by S&R COO Kate Goodall and The White House's Fran Holuba.

It was a night of dancing to great music by DJ Dirty Hands. All proceeds benefited S&R Foundation's support of talented individuals in the arts, sciences, and social entrepreneurship, especially those furthering international cultural collaboration.

We also went to Pennsylvania Ave for a culinary adventure at Taste of DC, as over 60 establishments served yummy bites along Restaurant Row and Food Truck Alley. At the Global BBQ, Beer & Bourbon Festival from Cochon 555, we checked out the Punch Kings & Pigs Competition where competing chefs created pork-centric dishes. We snapped Vidalia executive chef Jeff Ruben with Jayro Cruz and Paolo Dungca serving pork and beans.

Bartenders from 12 establishments also competed in the Highly-Spirited Punch Competition. Here, Punch Kings winner Duane Sylvestre, his wife LSY Architects' Jaqueline Sylvestre, and Taste of DC CEO Steuart Martems.

The competition's judges included the food industry's finest including Goose Island's Suzanne Wolcott, Ryan Daley, and Jesse Valenciana.

The event attracted masses of area foodies. Here, Annapolis' Dry 85 and Red Wine Bar's owner Brian Bolter and Lisa Bolter.
