RCA’s Holiday Bash

Hey, if you can’t get Giants tix, you fans of college football should hop down to DC this Saturday for the first bowl game ever held in the Nation’s Capital, and the first bowl game of the post-college season. Navy v. Wake Forest. Please see ad to right!

Despite all the belt-tightening, this year’s holiday parties have impressed us—and Real Capital Analytics’ Friday-night bash at Strata, with stilt-walkers and hula-hoop dancers, was no exception.

Real Capital Analytics’ prez Bob White, Steve Thompson, Joe Manina, CFO Jeanne Jambor, Pete Culliney, Dan Fasulo, and Bryan Grad. We keep hearing about great opportunities in the troubled-asset market, and RCA now has your research needs covered: the firm has recently compiled a global distressed asset transaction database. Jeanne tells us that as a special holiday gift, it’s giving current subscribers access to the information.

RCA’s Steve Williams, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors’ Matthew Bruck, RCA’s Karen Williams, Ernst & Young’s Matt McKee and Annie Hughes, and RCA’s Bill Strader. Steve’s been traveling the world as he helps expand RCA to Europe, Hong Kong and Australia; he’s soon giving a presentation to the UN about RCA’s work on global transparency.

REAL’s Neal Elkin, Johnson Capital’s Dan Lisser and RCA’s Sarah Buchwald. Neal said his company’s been quite busy in this “exciting” market, trying to understand what its clients are thinking. You’re not the only curious one, Neal: let us know when you find out!

Integra Realty Resources’ Melissa Tinnirello, BlackRock’s Steven Cornet, Bryan Grad and Debra Grad with stilt-walkers (the agile duo didn’t trip once!) Steven’s headed back to his homeland of Amsterdam for two weeks; even though commercial real estate’s not too hot there now.

RCA’s Chris Brophy, Chester Martin, Bashar Abuelaynein and Cristina McNulty. What an exciting time for Texan Chester—it’s his first Christmas in New York, so he plans to hit Rockefeller Center and all the other usual NY holiday festivities.

RCA’s Sofia Kontorovich, Lauren Nagel-Krosney and Sarah Hart tell us they look forward to a holiday break from what’s been a busy real estate season. It’s nice to hear some people say that.

You’ve seen their bylines, now here are their faces: ForbesJohn Dobosz; RCA’s Peter Slatin (formerly of The Slatin Report); Private Equity Real Estate Magazine’s Zoe Hughes; L+M Development Partners’ Christie Auw; and American Banker’s Marc Hochstein, with Peter’s dog, Joy. We should have hopped in, but haven’t figured out how to work the timer on the camera.

Covering eight holiday parties in a week left Amanda Marsh a bit less diligent than usual. She apologizes for misspelling Andy Frankl's name and misstating Bill Brody's title in Friday's e-newsletter. Both errors have been corrected in our archives.
