Elite Training System leased 2k SF in the Raton Plaza Shopping Center at 2407 W. Parkwood Ave in Friendswood. Kyle Geary represented the landlord Richland Investments.
Richland Investments’ Mickey Meyer-Sturgis represented the landlord in three deals:
- Ashton Houston Residential renewed its 12k SF lease in Beltway 8 Service Center off W Sam Houston Pkwy. Ashland Houston Residential’s Eric Hughes and Paul Sims negotiated for the tenant.
- Dr. David Wainwright leased 1,600 SF for a veterinary clinic in Westbridge II at 9201 West Road.
- Gourmet Candy, Inc. leased 2k SF in Loop IV & V at 1205-1209 W Loop North.
Texas Citizens Bank leased 2k SF for a banking facility at 507 W. Baker Rd. in Baytown. The landlord, Tenax Management, was represented by Claire Sinclaire of Claire Sinclaire Real Estate. Texas Citizens Bank was repped by Colliers’ Marshall Clinkscales.
Transwestern was retained by Rancho Pacific Development Corporation to be sole leasing agent for 25025 N Freeway in The Woodlands. The 113k SF, six-story Class A office building has on-site management and banking, keycard access, conference rooms, and parking garage, and is visible from the freeway. 70k SF are currently available. VP Greg Tilton and EVP David Baker are overseeing leasing and marketing.
CBRE’s Matt Keener, Russell Janicek, and Mark Raines negotiated two leases for IBERIABANK, a 122-year subsidiary of IBERIABANK Corporation.
- 41k SF at Greenway Commons retail power center (corner of Richmond and Weslayan). Alex Makris and Jazz Hamilton, also of CBRE, repped the landlord, Trammell Crow Company.
- 21k SF at Memorial City Mall in W Houston. MetroNational’s Loch Cook represented the landlord.
Y&Y Pasadena Holdings, LLC purchased a 30k SF, two-story office building at 524 Pasadena Boulevard. Colliers’ Marshall Clinkscales and Coy Davidson repped the seller, GSL Investment, Inc., and Jonathan Adler represented the buyer.
Houston-based Boxer Property bought the Carillon Towers in Dallas, two office buildings that are 11 and 10-stories and total 260k SF. They are 86% occupied. Boxer Property was founded by Andrew Segal in ’92 and owns over 110 buildings. It's known for the (877) 777-RENT signs on its properties and the fact it allows tenants to rent office space month-to-month, even without a previous long-term lease.
Houston-based Judwin Realty Group purchased 15.3 acres of land in Cinco Ranch in Katy. It plans to build a 316-unit apartment complex on the site, and hopes to break ground in Q2 or Q3 of this year. Judwin owns over 13k apartment units in Texas and Georgia. Stan Creech Properties’ Stan Creech repped Judwin in the acquisition.
Houston-based Becks Prime opened a new location in N Houston off FM 1960, bringing it to 11 stores. Becks, considered a pioneer in fast-casual restaurants, was recently named “Best” Burger in Houston and one of the 10 “Best” Burger Restaurants in America by Where the Locals Eat.
California-based Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt is opening its first location in Houston. It leased 1500 SF in Indian Springs Center in The Woodlands, a 137k SF retail center anchored by H-E-B.
The Intercontinental Houston hotel changed its name to Intercontinental Houston Near The Galleria. The change was made to stress the hotel’s proximity to shopping and entertainment, as well as make it more recognizable to event planners and travelers who want to be in the Galleria area. The hotel also added a chef’s table to its restaurant, TableOne.
