Coro Realty Advisors' latest purchase won't leave the company's execs wanting in retail choices.

Coro purchased The Pointe at West Cobb, a mixed-use retail and office center of more than 32k SF at the intersection of Dallas Highway and Ernest Barrett Parkway for $24.5M. Free-standing Walgreens, Applebee's, and Arby's are part of the center's nearly 20k SF in retail. The project, which is 92% occupied, also includes 12,500 SF of office. Ackerman & Co's Jon Allen and Steve Langford repped the seller, Clearwater, Fla.-based Olympia Development Group. “We pursued this property due to its strong corner in a high-traffic area adjacent to the Home Depot,” says Coro president John Lundeen. “We expect the continued growth in this area to continue to improve the property’s fundamentals.”

Brokers! Grab your pallino, Chianti and join our sponsor Transwestern Atlanta for its first Bocce Ball Tournament for area brokers. Transwestern agency leasing SVP Kristie Abney says the idea started five years ago with its client and bocce ball king Greg Camia (owner of RiverEdge Summit). The games were open to tenants, and they've since added a second division for local brokers. Games run from July to October and will be held at RiverEdge Summit (a bit of an office/resort in its own right) located at 1500 River Edge Pkwy in Atlanta. Visit riveredgesummit.com for more info. And keep an eye out for Peeping Tom, the wild turkey that has lived onsite (and peeped into office windows of course) for over a year. Find more info on Transwestern Atlanta here.
