Saturday night we went to two of our favorite events, the Fashion for Paws Runway Show benefiting the Washington Humane Society at the Embassy of Italy, and the Grin Gala benefiting Operation Smile at the US Chamber of Commerce.
 

At the F4P runway show, guests enjoyed cuisine from Teatro Goldoni, a silent auction, and the opportunity to adopt WHS dogs. The Model Washingtonian Female winner, who raised $20,000: South Paws vet Dondi Dahlgaard and her chihuahua Chili Beyonce.

Also on Saturday, we joined 500 for the third annual Grin Gala to raise awareness and funds for Operation Smile at the Chamber of Commerce. Enjoying hors d’oeurves, a dessert bar, and a silent auction with goodies from Gucci, The Four Seasons, and a trip to Vietnam: Hill staffer Phil Hoon and teacher Mallory Caudle.

 

More than 200,000 children are born every year with a cleft lip or palate, and Operation Smile performs free surgeries in 50 countries with dedicated medical volunteers. Here, The Winvale Group’s Andrew Clausnitzer, The Equal Rights Center’s Ashley White, and Yale Law School’s Ross Harrington.
