Jammin’!

A big shoutout to Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. Interested in pursuing a Global MBA or Executive Master's in Leadership? Come to a lunchtime dine and learn, Thu Dec. 3, noon, at Zola. RSVP

Last night we went to Arlington’s Clarendon Ballroom for PINK JAMS’ first breast cancer benefit concert.

We were proud to be a media sponsor; the event featured music by the Justin Trawick Group (above) and Memphis 59 (below).

Memphis 59’s Chris Zogby, Scott Kurt, Nate Taylor, and Richard Lewis. All net proceeds went to PINK JAMS and the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

Redskins Cheerleaders Amanda Mitchell and Kelly Owens are with PINK JAMS founder Christa Floresca and Miss DC 2008 Kate Marie Grinold. (Normally we list names left to right, but we figured you’d know who they are.)

Warriors!

Also last night, we stopped by a party at Lotus Lounge with EagleBank Bowl to benefit its charitable partner, the Wounded Warrior Project. We snapped Washington Freedom’s Mark Washo, EagleBank Bowl co-founder Marie Rudolph, Clinton Carr, Occasion Caterer’s Matt Sipala, and Stephanie Reich.

Sidley Austin’s Devon MacWilliam, Treasury’s Elizabeth Glaser, and EagleBank Bowl’s Lauren Schram and Jenna Ross enjoy happy hour specials and hors d’oeuvres.

Art!

Last night, we also went to Foggy Bottom’s M Street Renaissance Hotel for Put a CORC in It. It marked the beginning of the Corcoran College of Art + Design’s student art installation at the hotel, whose GM, Matt Felix, is flanked by Linda Roth PR’s Danielle Piacente and the Corcoran’s Rachel Cothran.

Art enthusiasts Tara Lewis and Asma Ahmed surround DC This Week’s Jade Floyd and the Corcoran’s Kristin Guiter. Guests sampled wine and cheese while perusing art.

Featured artist of the evening, Hernan Gigena and The Washington Examiner’s Tara Palmeri

Power Women!

Bisnow’s Women in Business Breakfast & Schmooze was a huge success yesterday with 450 business women (and a few brave men) packing Georgetown’s Sequoia. Inspirational speakers, including Rand Construction founder Linda Rabbitt and Marriott EVP Kathleen Matthews (here with Meditor Optimus’ Naomi Szekeres) talked about motivating one another to succeed in “a man’s world” by celebrating each other.

The White House Project’s Marie Wilson, who started Take Our Daughters to Work Day. We learned about the power of applying diverse perspectives to solutions; research shows it outperforms solutions crafted by people who think (and look) alike.

Cherry, Bekaert & Holland's Susan Moser, Grafik’s Teddi Segal, PR guru Maurisa Potts and AMG’s Karen Alston. The message we heard: you’ve been given gifts; don’t waste them.

Champion Recruiting Associates’ Lisa Slater, Jane Seu, Caitlin Banks and Kara Ridgway. Caitlin exemplifies the message: she founded her company at age 27.
