We started a fun-filled weekend on Friday, as we co-hosted the green party of the season with Sports for Nature at Eye Bar.
 

The Scene Bisnow reporters Heather Mahoney and Mary-Kate Rasa snuggle up to Polar Bear. Donations benefited the Alaska Wilderness League, DC’s only environmental group devoted full-time to protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Fuzzy Fall Fun!

 

We went to Georgetown’s City Tavern Club for the Washington Humane Society’s Fuzzy and Funky Fall Benefit Saturday night and snapped CEO Lisa LaFontaine, and her hubby Matt Kayhoe.

Fashion Fotos!

 

Last night, we headed to Logan Circle’s Immortal Beloved Salon for the kick-off party of Immortal Style: An Exhibition of Fashion Photography, also part of FotoWeek DC. Featured photographers Violetta Markelou and Gabriel Scindian flank Immortal Style curator, and noted DJ, Adrian Loving.

 

National Quality Forum’s Sarah Fanta, WeddingWire’s Catherine Cano and IBM’s Sarah Schwarzbeck.

 

Featured artist Tim Coburn, Nediam Consultants’ Adra Williams, and Fashion BS’s Elaine Mensah and James Cornwell. The photos will be on display through Sunday.

Tonight, Monday, November 9  at 7:30 pm  the Pulitzer prize-winning drama Ruined in the Terrace Theater of the Kennedy Center. A limited number of free tickets have been made available to the public for the DC premiere, in a staged reading. This powerful play set in a small mining town in Congo, is presented in coordination with the Center for American Progress’ Enough anti-genocide project, and will be followed by a panel discussion with the playwright.
