When looking ahead, care to guess what three things are priorities for Mark Warner? We'd make this a contest with prizes, but you’re already getting enough gifts for the holidays

The senator's list, offered last night at TiE DC’s annual holiday gala at Top of the Town in Arlington:
- Education - We must rethink the way we educate children, or risk falling behind the rest of the world.
- Debt - We must rethink the tax structure, especially how we balance debt and equity.
- Energy - It has the biggest potential for job growth over the next 30 years.

We snuck this pic of Mark and Federal CIO Vivek Kundra because this morning Vivek gave a presentation to the Senate Task Force on Government Performance, which Mark chairs. According to Mark: "Vivek said he wouldn’t have any cocktails, to be sure he gave a good presentation." Looking at this pic of tech titans together, we think if Shepard Fairey were to "Obama-cize" it, it could lead to Kundra/Warner in 2012. Or would that be Warner/Kundra?

TiE DC President DP Venkatesh, right, passed the torch to President-elect Amir Hudda. Everyone send DP, CEO of mPortal, an E-mail today thanking him for a great year of service. We assume the proper gift for an outgoing TiE prez is a tie, but do they make gold-plated clip-ons?

| B2G! |

Yesterday, we were proud media sponsors for the NVTC B2G Committee’s kickoff event for the year as they looked at the state of the stimulus. Pictured here: B2G chair Sid Chowdhary with committee sponsors Cathy Cromley of Market Connections, Dutko’s Matt Schrader, and Albo & Oblon’s Seth Berenzweig, whose law firm sponsors everything. Sid says his company, Credence Management Solutions, has seen 300% growth the past two years and ’10 is looking even better.

Some happy eventgoers: The Goal’s Brad McCoy, Unanet’s Stephanie Picardi, FedSources’ Mary Gostel, and Mid-Atlantic Commercial Reality’s Dana Weinberg. We thought a company named “The Goal” was good for a World Cup connection, but it’s actually named after a book . . . which Brad hasn’t read. “I’ll get to it,” he says.

The morning’s early panel: former VA head of IT field operations and development Ray Sullivan, Ripple Effect Communications’ Amy Bielski, and Dutko SVP Brian Sailer. Quick tip from Amy: FBO.gov (federal business opportunities) actually works.
