| Last night we co-hosted a Federal Fiscal New Year’s Party with GovLoop, Young Government Leaders, and the Young AFCEANs at Current on Connecticut Ave. Everyone made a New Year’s resolution to virtualize their servers and use fewer acronyms. By this morning, AFCEA had already broken its resolution. |

GovDelivery’s Scott Burns and GovLoop founder Steve Ressler (even though his name tag says Anthony). GovDelivery, a government-focused online subscription and news services firm, acquired GovLoop, a social network for government workers, a few weeks ago. Steve says his site has 20k users; his next goal: 100k.

Mark is busy planning a big Gov 2.0 summit for May at the Washington Convention Center and is now an adjunct professor at GW. “My students are actually doing their take home mid-term right now,” Mark says.

Elias tells us he’s stepped down as CEO of Searchles but is chairman of the board and looking to sell if the right bidder comes along.

TerraHealth’s Reeba Magulick and ClearedJobs.net’s Kathleen Smith. Reeba tells us TerraHealth just graduated a year early from the 8A set-aside program and is now fighting with the big boys to provide healthcare IT to DoD. Kathleen spent the summer working and vacationing in Maine; next Tuesday her company hosts a job fair with 27 companies, including the big names you always hear about.
