No, time hasn’t flown and it’s not May in Vegas yet—this was the end-of-the-year east coast International Council of Shopping Centers conference at the NY Hilton and Sheraton the last couple days. But our intrepid NYC reporter was on the scene looking for the many of you from DC who attended.

Here we snapped the Peterson Cos’ Kristin Wilkinson and Andrew Kabat, on either side, with KLNB Retail’s Sean Duffy. Noticeably absent from this year’s show was the shellshock that plagued 2008’s attendees. Then again, sugar does make everything better—Andrew tells us that the Peeps & Company store just opened its first location at National Harbor.

| Rappaport Cos.’ John Hayden, Henry Fonvielle, and James Farrell report that they’re about to sign a 13k-SF anchor to their Siena Park project on Columbia Pike in Arlington. The space is the 32k-SF retail portion’s largest block in the mixed-use project, which also includes 188 luxury apartments. Also in the pipeline: a 33k-SF deal going to lease at its shopping center adjacent to Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge. Traffic to the firm’s booth was strong, which they say is a good sign for ’10. |

| JBG Rosenfeld Retail’s Krista Di Iaconi, Jeff Topchik, Jay Klug, and Samuel Pan have plenty in the works—watch for two restaurant deals at North Bethesda Market, which is on track for Q2 delivery. The firm also just delivered space for an 80k-SF new prototype for Wal-Mart at Alexandria’s Kings Crossing, where the retailer will move in July. Jeff and Sam also report that they’re repping Buffalo Wild Wings’ expansion in Maryland, with the next one (of many) scheduled to open in Rockville Town Square on the 13th. |

 |
| Edens & Avant’s Marilyn Talabis, Jessica Bruner, Vanessa Mendoza, Emily Gagliardi, and Kristy Inman. The firm’s marketing its last available retail spot at CityVista, looking to add another restaurant to the underserved market—it will join the newly opened Taylor Gourmet and Kushi, as well as a bar whose lease is being finalized. |

CREW NOVA GIVES BACK

CREW NoVa called in the big guns for its holiday networking event. These marines showed up to help haul Toys for Tots donations collected at McCormick & Schmick’s in Reston. We snapped this of future chapter president Debby Allen standing with Peterson’s Louise Zimmerman White and Davies REIS’s Beverly Merchant, and the ladies up front: AVI-SPL’s Donna Thuotte Martin, Kimball’s Rhonda Hammack and EE Reed’s Chasity Jansa.

PSI’s Jeff Davidson didn’t seem too upset to be in the minority at this party—here with by FOX Architects’ Megan Kindle and Erin Orr and ECS’s Rachael Rossmeissl. The gang from FOX is still glowing from its NAIOP award for Best Interiors, Tenant Space 50k SF and above, for Project OCX. They brought Legos as their toy of choice for the tots—and told us they currently have 50,000 Legos piled up in their office. No, they’re not experimenting with a new construction material. Stay tuned, they say.
