Last night we went to fun Penn Quarter restaurant Ping Pong Dim Sum to celebrate the Kastles return.
 
We snapped coach (and former tennis great) Murphy Jensen, team owner Mark Ein, WUSA9 sportscaster (and former serious tennis player) Brett Haber, and his wife, Washingtonian's Jennifer Haber. Since Venus and Serena are both on the team this year, Mark said there's no excuse not to win it all.

Grasping the Dream!
 
We went to the OAS' Hall of the Americas for the Grasping the Dream Gala on Tuesday, to honor the achievements of four extraordinary organizations. We snapped former NBA player, Wizards analyst Phil Chenier, and his daughter Adelle.
 
Lifting As We Climb founders Curtis Blackwell (left) and Siraaj Hasan (center) with board members Caesar Nettles, Billy Dunn, and Samir Cummings. Together with the El Foundation, they developed the Sound Mind, Sound Body Academy to tutor and mentor high school students in summer sports camps.
 
We snapped celebrity chef Lauren VonDerPool, the youngest CEO, and only woman of color, who spoke at the White House Green Energy Economy Forum. She created non-profit VonDerPool Gourmet to bring health education to the next generation and is working on a reality TV cooking show.

Mark Fights Fat!
 
Celebrity trainer Mark Jenkins launched Going Green from the Inside Out campaign to fight childhood obesity with a 3K race and a 1K fun run along the Mall with children from the National Park Trust's Buddy Bison program. Mark's worked with Mary J. Blige, LL Cool J, Beyonce, and Busta Rhymes, but this may be his biggest challenge.

Docs Honored!
 
The American Heart Association and CGI honored members of the US Military who save lives in the battlefield and at home at a physicians reception at Arlington's Women in Military Service for America War Memorial. CGI Federal prez George Schindler and VP Cheryl Campbell flank the doctors: Saira Aslam, Todd Villines, Brian Hemann, and John Stephen Thurber.
