The champion Washington Kastles return July 8-24! Very few boxes and VIP experiences still remain! Unique VIP group experiences can include player reception or private tennis clinic. Players coming this season include Venus Williams, Martina Hingis and Andy Roddick. The season is only a few weeks away, tickets are going fast! Find out more here.

Last night we joined 800 at the JW Marriott for the CEI Gala and casino after party. They raised over one million dollars.

Sen. Rand Paul keynoted, drawing laughs for his jabs on NSA, furloughing the Capitol police, and spending hundreds of thousands to discover pizza is the best food to eat on Mars. We snapped him with US Federal Courts' Loren Smith, Zyvex Labs' James Von Ehr, and CEI's new prez Lawson Bader, sporting a kilt.

Considered one of the more fun think tank events, the night was themed James Bond, complete with film footage during dinner and a Bond spoof, Capitalism Never Dies. Here, former Ambassador Boyden Gray, Freedomworks' Wayne Brough and Patrick Hedger are bookended by Alliance of Auto Manufacturers' Judy Mulcahy and her husband US Patent's Peter Mulcahy.

Guests dined on herb crusted rack of lamb in a merlot glace. Here, former VA Gov. Jim Gilmore with Zoos and Aquariums' Allegra Formento and American Chiropractic Association's Jack Dusik.

We took home an engraved martini glass—for shaken drinks only—and a cigar with a cutter. Here, CATO prez John Allison, GM Law's Todd Zywicki, and science journalist John Tierney.

N Street!

image009
Yesterday we also went to the National Press Club for the 7th annual N Street Village luncheon. Alumna Emily Miller told how alcohol addiction took her from her family, but N Street got her back on her feet; she's now studying to be a social worker. We snapped her flanked by N Street prez Schroeder Stribling (happy birthday!) VA Urban League CEO Lavern Chatman, Pepco's Debbi Jarvis.

N Street helps 63% of DC's female homeless population. We snapped Wiley Rein managing partner Peter Shields, Ruth Sorenson, Community Ally Award winner Amanda Stafford, event chair Keith Harley, and emcee Mary Kay's Gloria Mayfield Banks.

We ate chicken pasta salad, fresh fruit, and greens in cabbage cups. Here, N Street's Stuart Allen with TD Bank's Julie Hunko, Constantine Fersszidis, Scott Meehan, and Donna Grigsby.

G.L.A.M.!

Last night we also went to the Fundrise Building on H St. NE for GLAM—Giving Labels a Meaning—Summer Fashion Event. We snapped mobile consignment boutique Runway Wheels' social media manager Caroline Downing, founder Allyson Shaffier, editor Charli Holbrook, and PR manager Carlene Boyer.

image017
Everyone here has an Andi Brand bag. We snapped its founder Andrea Weinberg flanked by Eden's social media marketer Elizabeth Traynor, who won her purple bag in the raffle, and G.L.A.M. founder/CEO Meaghan Moynahan.

100% of the proceeds go to Safe Shores to provide a supportive environment for abused children. The fashionable crowd enjoyed an open bar, cookies, fashion show, tunes, and pop-up shops. Here, DNC's Abbey Wright-Geddes, USA Today's Alex Laughlin, Walker Marchant's Dana Lange, and Fornash's Ava Mutchler.

Battle of the Law Firm Bands!

image001
Last night we also went to the Battle of the Law Firm Bands at the Black Cat on 14th St. It started 10 years ago with seven bands raising $10k; this year it had 18 bands and raised $270k for Gifts for the Homeless. Congrats! We snapped Sutherland associate Naseem Nixon belting it out with band Sutherland Comfort.

Caitlin Byrnes, Erica Moody, Roksana Slavinksy contributed to this issue.
