Last night we went to the 10th Anniversary of DC Central Kitchen's Capital Food Fight at the Ronald Reagan Building.

We snapped the hosts, José Andrés and Carla Hall. This year's ultimate foodie event featured original tastes from 75 of DC's hottest restaurants, craft cocktails, wine and beer.

Stellar celebrity judges included Top Chef's Tom Colicchio and celebrity chef Todd English.

Thurgood Marshall Awards Gala!

Last night we also went to the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund Awards Gala at the Washington Hilton. We snapped Tony and Grammy Award winner Jennifer Holliday, the original Dream Girl, who sang some of her classic songs.

Delaware State Univ's Lisa Moody, Thurgood Marshall Fund founder Dr. Joyce Payne, and AARP's Winifred Watson-Florence and Rob Hagans. The gala celebrates the achievements of visionaries who have had a positive impact on the lives of students and Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

ING's Chip Wheeler and Alicia Cong, Food & Friends' George Bednar, and Carl Johnson. Almost 1,500 were at the gala, themed Developing Minds ... Delivering Dreams which featured 500 current Thurgood Marshall scholarship students.
