| Since her appointment in 2002, Amanda has spearheaded Mayor Bloomberg’s economic development initiatives with comprehensive rezonings and urban design master plans designed to catalyze commercial and residential development throughout the city. Among these are master plans for Lower Manhattan, Downtown Brooklyn, Long Island City and Jamaica in Queens, as well as the Hudson Yards on the far west side of Manhattan. The Department is using an innovative inclusionary zoning program to assist in the largest municipal affordable housing initiative in the country, and championing design excellence at every opportunity. |
