She is the first African-American woman to have a stake in three professional sports teams: the Mystics, Wizards and Capitals. She also founded and is currently CEO of Salamander Hospitality, where she oversees a portfolio of luxury properties, including the much-anticipated Salamander Resort & Spa being constructed in Middleburg, VA. In 2006, Sheila was named global ambassador for CARE, a leading aid organization fighting global poverty by empowering women. |
