Foreign Corrupt Practices Act: What You Need to Know

The potential price of violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act ("FCPA"): $1.6 billion.  At least, that is the dollar figure of fines and penalties Siemens AG recently paid to settle allegations FCPA violations.  For years, many corporations have elicited favorable treatment from foreign governments through bribery of public officials.  The past 3-4 years, the US Gov't has enforced the FCPA as much as the prior 20 years combined.

Is your company at risk?  How should your company increase its prevention efforts?  What voluntary disclosures should you make?  What sort of anti-corruption compliance program is recommended?  Come hear from the Chief of the newly formed FCPA Unit of the SEC, Cheryl Scarboro, Fortune 500 GCs and other FCPA experts at the Council on Foreign Relations as they answer these and other important questions.
