| Bob was appointed Commissioner of Public Buildings for the U.S. General Services Administration effective August 19, 2009. As Commissioner, he is responsible for the nationwide asset management, design, construction, leasing, building management and disposal for 354 million square feet of government-owned and leased space, accommodating 1 million federal workers. Additionally, he oversees an annual budget of more than $8 billion and a workforce of 6,300. Most recently, Bob served as a managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle, where he advised corporations, governments, and nonprofit institutions on real estate portfolio strategy and on public-private, mixed-use developments. He previously served as Commissioner of Public Buildings during the Clinton administration. |

He is currently leading the planning, design and construction stages for development of a 4.5 mil gsf of office space, with approximately 4000 structured parking spaces, plus a 30 mega watt co-generation / combined heat and power central plant for the future DHS Consolidation complex located on the Saint Elizabeths campus in Washington DC. |
