Known informally as the "Federal Stimulus Tsar," Earl is a veteran public official dedicated to accountability and transparency in government. On February 23, 2009, six days after signing the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act into law, President Obama named Devaney to head the Recovery Board, which is charged with overseeing spending under the $787 billion program. In announcing Devaney’s appointment, the President said: “Earl has doggedly pursued waste, fraud and mismanagement. He has the reputation of being one of the best [Inspectors General] that we have in this town…. I can’t think of a more tenacious and efficient guardian of the hard-earned tax dollars the American people have entrusted us to wisely invest.”

Nationally, Eric has been instrumental in the development of Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago, currently the tallest completed residential building in the world. He has also focused his efforts on Trump International Hotel & Tower in Las Vegas, personally overseeing all aspects of the projects from architecture to marketing to hotel management.

As Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from 2005 to 2009, Mr. Chertoff led the country in blocking would-be terrorists from crossing our borders or implementing their plans if they were already in the country. Now focused on the firm's tech and growth capital activities, Ed serves as a member of the Investment Committees for Carlyle Growth, Asia Growth, European Technology, Middle East Northern Africa (MENA), Mexico Growth, and The Riverstone Funds. Prior to joining Carlyle in January 1994, he was a member of the Management Committee and Board of Directors of T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc., a major investment management organization.

Jerry was the longtime CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers and one of the most prominent trade association leaders in the U.S. He was also president of The Manufacturing Institute, the education and research arm of the National Association of Manufacturers, the nation’s largest industrial trade association. He now serves on numerous corporate and civic boards.

Bill joined Lazard as a Managing Director and Co-Head of North American Aerospace and Defense in July 2008. With over 20 years of direct industry experience, Farmer has successfully managed more than 100 transactions, totaling more than $10 billion in transaction value, including mergers and acquisitions, fairness opinions and IPO’s, as well as placement of high yield debt.

Susan is the Partner-in-Charge (PIC) of CB&H’s Washington practice and leads the Firm’s Federal Government Services practice. She has over 20 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, and extensive government knowledge through her work with numerous government contractors and federal agencies. Susan focuses her practice by providing a myriad of accounting and consulting services to the Firm’s federal government and government contractor clients. She previously led the Firm’s Government Contractor Services Group before focusing more of her time directly in the federal arena.

Nancy chairs the New York Business Reorganization and Bankruptcy Practice. She has more than 20 years experience in restructuring and corporate finance as both an attorney and an investment banker. Prior to joining the firm, she served as an Executive Director for CIBC World Markets Corp. Nancy was previously a partner with a major law firm where she focused her practice on restructuring and bankruptcy and corporate finance.
