Gables Residential manages a portfolio of 38,000 apartments, including a corporate-owned portfolio of 59 stabilized communities comprising 15,000 apartments. An additional 5 communities are under development/lease-up, comprising 1,400 apartments. Prior to joining Gables in 2002, David was an investment banking partner with First Florida Capital Corporation and was President of the St. Joe Company, where he directed the development and acquisition of several million SF of assets.

AMLI is one of the largest multifamily owners, with a portfolio comprised of 22,000 stabilized apartments and 2,000 apartments in five locations under development or in lease-up.  AMLI has 13 apartment communities in Atlanta and 61 throughout the country.

Post Properties owns 19,864 apartments in 55 communities, including 1,429 apartment units in four communities currently under construction and/or in lease-up. Post also owns and is developing 277 for-sale condominium homes in two communities and is converting apartment units in two communities which initially consisted of 349 apartments. The company is headquartered in Atlanta and has operations in nine markets across the country employing 600 people. 

Since its 1998 founding, Wood Partners has started 34k housing units, representing an investment of $4.3B. Previously, as COO of Fuqua Capital, Joe was responsible for day-today management of the Fugua family's office operations and the firm's investment strategy. He also served as CFO of Weeks-Robinson and Sr. VP, Development and Investment Strategy, in the Office/Multi-Family Division at Cousins Properties.

Walker & Dunlop, a Fannie and Freddie approved lender, services $16.7B of commercial mortgages and asset manages 1,600 properties across the US. In 2009, Walker & Dunlop originated $2.2B in mortgages. Darrell joined the company in 2009 as part of a merger with Column Guaranteed, a subsidiary of Credit Suisse, where he was COO and CFO.

CBRE Debt & Equity Finance closed $6.3B in US loan originations in 2009 with $4.1B of that total being multi-family transactions. The servicing portfolio totaled $59B in 3,368 loans.  Since 1983, Robert has been an active intermediary in the financing and sales multifamily community and his transactional experience is in excess of $6B.  He currently focuses his efforts in procuring debt and equity for multifamily clients and has been instrumental in originating new sources of debt and equity for the company’s clientele.

Thomas is responsible for managing the region's $2.5B commercial mortgage loan portfolio, including new loan production and asset management. During his 22 years at MetLife, Thomas has served in various capacities within the enterprise, including Real Estate Controllers, Investments Information Technology and Real Estate Portfolio Management. The last 9 years have been in Loan Production and Asset Management. As a loan producer, Thomas has closed $2 B in new loans, with emphasis on the Southeastern U.S.

Mike McGaughy works with Jon Kleinberg specializes in the marketing and sale of multifamily assets and overseeing all investment sales activity of this product type in the Southeast. He has 23 years of real estate sales experience in the multifamily arena and has sold 21k units totaling $1.3B. Before joining Transwestern in '06, Mike was a SVP at Gables Residential.
