EXECS

Savills Studley hired Charles Daggett as executive managing director in its Dallas office. Daggett and Dina Zavislak (who will work in Savills Studley’s Phoenix office) came from Mohr Partners.

Dallas City Council appointed Patrick Kennedy to the DART board of directors. Kennedy has more than 15 years of experience in various sectors, including mixed-use projects, sustainability, regional urban parks, downtown revitalization/strategic planning studies, design guidelines and comprehensive new town developments.

Mycon General Contractors hired John Leverette to lead its special projects division in Dallas. Clients for that department include Bank of America, Southwest Airlines, Watermark Community Church and Walmart Learning Centers.

Mill Creek Residential hired David Reynolds as CFO. Reynolds, who has 28 years of experience in public accounting and the debt and equity capital markets, will be responsible for accelerating the finance, accounting and reporting infrastructure.

A SkyWalker Property Partners JV sold the second retail phase of a 70-lot development (above) in Dallas County and is poised to wrap up the final round of sales. The recently sold site is the 3k SF Raising Cane’s restaurant at 2960 West Camp Wisdom Road in Grand Prairie. The seller is Life in the Fast Food Lane, a partnership between SkyWalker Property, Dallas developers Kelly Hampton and Dave Carter and Hangover Opportunity Fund. The buyer is California-based Weinberg.

Greysteel arranged the sale of Radford Place Townhomes, a multifamily property at 3922 Evergreen St in Irving. Greysteel’s Boyan Radic, Doug Banerjee, Andrew Mueller, Ryan Hill and Andrew Hanson repped the seller, Texas 05 Partners, and procured the buyer, Radford PT.

Hartman Three Forest Plaza, a subsidiary of Hartman Short Term Income Properties XX REIT, purchased Three Forest Plaza in Dallas’ Park Central submarket. The 367k SF office building is 73% leased to a diverse mix of tenants, including Weaver & Tidwell, Huselton Morgan & Maultsby, QRx and US Oncology.

Transwestern Dallas Multifamily closed on the 200-unit Parque Del Sol in Garland, the 235-unit Woods of Ridgmar in Fort Worth, the 310-unit North Park Terrace in Dallas, the 216-unit Eastfield Plaza in Mesquite and the 173-unit Pecan Tree in Dallas. These properties, along with one other in Tyler, accounted for $85M.

Escobar Roofing acquired an 8k SF office/warehouse at 4542 Bronze Way in Dallas from CTL Holdings. Bradford Commercial Real Estate’s Clint Manning and Ed Pachecano repped the buyer. JLL’s Craig Jones and Caleb McCoy repped the seller.

LEASES

Bright Realty brokered the lease for a new Brightway Insurance location in Plano. The 1k SF office at 6832 Coit Road brings the center to 100% occupancy. Tenants include Z Grill and Aki Sushi and Lucky Dog Grooming. Bright Realty's Mason Bakken and Britton Lankford repped the landlord. Clifford Bogart with KW Commercial repped the tenant.

Crestone Group renewed 71k SF of warehouse space in Heritage Business Park Building 6 at 800 Industrial Blvd in Grapevine. Bradford’s Michael Spain and Nick Talley repped the landlord, KTR DFW. Michael Stanzel of NAI Robert Lynn repped the tenant. 

DEVELOPMENT

Equest, a nonprofit that provides equine-facilitated therapies and horsemanship programs to children and adults with disabilities, will expand its Texas Horse Park with a new arena called Al Hill Jr. Family Arena. Equest will consolidate its two locations in Wylie and Texas Horse Park to focus efforts and services in its newer southern Dallas location.
