Bisnow Fantasy Football: Team Captain Spotlights

Chicago Other

Meet some of the strategic minds leading the charge in Bisnow's fantasy football league, starting with Bear Construction’s Paul Lyons, tailgating with his wife Sarah at an MSU football game. After growing up in East Lansing, Mich. and graduating from MSU, Paul bleeds green for the Spartans and went to Pasadena last January to cheer them on to a Rose Bowl victory. His proud parenting moment: When his then 4-year-old belted out the Spartan fight song in the middle of the MSU bookstore. At the Bear office, Paul’s busy with a very cool new amenities roof deck on the 11th floor of Prudential Plaza (that includes delivering materials like full-grown trees up 11 floors over a busy vaulted street) and a 39k SF new construction MOB/surgical center in Sycamore. Outside of work, you’ll find him eyeing hot free agents and coaching his two sons' many sports teams.

Chicago Apartment Finders’ Robert Richmond, snapped with the family, says his relationship with football started with his dad. Sundays were sacred in their house growing up: Wake up, get bagels, play touch football until 11:55am, then claim a seat on the couch for the game. “That same tradition is now part of my kids' lives,” he says. Robert’s fantasy strategy: Not to make the same mistakes he’s made in his 15 other leagues, he jokes. At work, he’s been busy growing the firm’s broker base and helping CAF’s past renters start to make purchase decisions.
