Join the fastest-growing media enterprise we know of. Join the Bisnow team!
Bisnow on Business is seeking talented, motivated people to join its incredible staff of media innovators. If you have a sense of humor, live in the Washington, DC, area (We don’t think these are mutually exclusive.) and are enthusiastic and ambitious, we want to interrogate, er, meet you. All inquiries should be sent to careers@bisnow.com.
Editor-In-Chief
Bisnow on Business is seeking a smart, experienced and energetic individual to lead the editorial operations of our rapidly growing company. Interested candidates should have relevant editorial and management experience and a strong desire to be part of an entrepreneurial and exciting enterprise. Significant upside is possible.
Bisnow on Business publishes short, daily e-newsletters for niche business communities. The Bisnow style is different from what you’re used to reading in business: colorful, entertaining, even humorous, but informative and fluff-free. And we try to make our stories quick: short copy, bolded nouns and jokes.
The Editor-in-Chief will oversee the entire editorial process from story assignment to publication for our 7+ electronic newsletters. News experience and a sense of humor are a must and knowledge of one or more of the following local business communities is desirable: commercial real estate, legal, technology/government contracting, trade association, finance, and medical. The Editor-in-Chief will have 5+ direct reports and manage a pool of freelancers. In addition to these day-to-day duties, the Editor-in-Chief will serve as a member of the management team and help guide the strategy and operations of the company.
The Editor-in-Chief position is a great opportunity for an ambitious editor who wants to be involved in a fun and an exciting online business. Applicants should review our web site (www.bisnow.com) and become familiar with the content and style of our publications. If interested, please send a cover letter that explains why you are a candidate for this position and remember that we are looking for humor, style and experience. We aim to be the anti-boring business publication. A resume and recent sample should also be included.
Candidates must live in the Washington, DC area.
Compensation is highly competitive and includes benefits and significant upside.

REPORTERS/WRITERS
Are you an experienced business reporter/writer who can craft short, fun, punchy, personality-oriented “infotainment” pieces about Washington’s business communities? If so, by all means proceed to the next paragraph.
We want writers with a sense of humor and experience covering commercial real estate, legal, technology/government contracting and/or trade associations. If you’ve snapped pics for your stories, even better (though it’s not a prerequisite). We strongly (yet gingerly) suggest you peruse our archives before applying. And did we mention we love a sense of humor?
Applicants must live in the Washington, DC, area and have transportation. If interested, please send a cover letter that explains why you’re a good candidate. Throw in a resume and a recent writing sample for good measure. Remember, we’re a trailblazing (read: not boring) business publication, so we’re looking for versatile, dynamic writers.
Compensation is competitive. Benefits included..

Our account exec positions have enormous career growth opportunities and very significant earning potential for high-producers. We think this is pretty darn good, but we sweeten the pot by dangling the carrot of a fun, creative, energetic work environment with great people whom you could take home to mother.
